Chair Yoga

The wonderful thing about yoga is that it can be adapted to suit practically everyone. Unlike some yoga systems, chair yoga provides accessibility to all. If any of the following apply to you, then Joga chair yoga can help:

There is no need to worry about strength as your body is supported and stabilized by the chair. It is a very low impact practise, so joints are gently mobilised without forcing. Your back is supported throughout, enabling you to move without strain. As yoga is so adaptable, nearly all traditional postures can be done with the help of a chair. Joga incorporate all the key movements of yoga, including back/side/forward bends, twists and more. We aim to provide the full experience of a holistic practise, including warm up, breath work and relaxation. Individuals can benefit from modifications, according to ability and need e.g. forward fold in a seated position or whilst standing, with the head resting on the seat of the chair. We therefore provide and foster opportunities for progression.
